Folding a Yoga Mat

Matwork Pilates

Mat Pilates focuses on strengthening the body, with an emphasis on core strength. It involves performing a variety of movements and exercises on a mat, using one's body weight as resistance. Often incorporating other small equipment such as resistance bands, small weights, Pilates rings, and exercise balls exercises are modified to add variety and appropriate challenge.

Reformer Pilates utilises a specialised piece of equipment called a Pilates reformer. This apparatus allows for a greater range of exercises and more dynamic workouts compared to traditional Mat Pilates. Other accessories and equipment such as Jump Board, Box and Pole are used on the reformer to modify and enhance exercises.

Pregnancy Pilates

Ante and postnatal Pilates are specialised forms of Pilates designed to support women during pregnancy and after childbirth. These practices focus on the unique physical and emotional needs of pregnant and postpartum women, promoting overall well-being, strength, and recovery. Ante natal (prenatal) Pilates focused on exercises through each trimester preparing the body for labor and delivery. While, Postnatal Pilates focuses on recovery and rebuilding core strength, improving posture and promoting better alignment after childbirth.
